Hello.
I’m a UX designer, accessibility expert, front-end developer with over two decades of experience and a passion for making a more equitable world.

I'm currently employed at Oracle Health as a Principal UX Accessibility Strategist, where my passion drives me to push for more accessible, usable, and equitable products for everyone, especially people with disabilities. Sadly, I haven't updated my website in over a decade, and it should serve only as an example of what NOT to do when creating accessible websites. So please don't judge me too harshly, as my website was created before I fully understood how code affects accessibility. Since this site was created, I abruptly learned about accessibility, and now, products affecting millions of users across the healthcare industry have benefited from my talents while my website suffered. This brings me to an important point that everyone should understand: accessibility is a journey, and we will all come to a path on that journey eventually. Whether it is a temporary, situational, or permanent disability, we will all be affected by a disability at some point in our lives. My website and my story showcase just that.
My accessibility journey began several years after I created this site. In 2016, I had my own life experience that opened my eyes to the sad state of accessibility and it changed my life focus completely. Since then, I have grown my knowledge and experiences, and have progressed professionally consistent with my goal of making a more accessible world for everyone! While my site is lacking now, I'm working in my off time to build a better site that appropriately matches my varied background experience in design, development, UX, and accessibility. In the meantime, find me on LinkedIn where you can find my extensive history of driving accessibility at Cerner and Oracle Health through design systems, platform uplifts, accessibility documentation, presentations, white papers, and a long list of other things I've done to positively affect the accessibility of health care products. Or, send me an email.
